Ironman Wales 2025
IRONMAN Wales will take place on Sunday, September 21, bringing road closures and parking restrictions to Pembrokeshire as thousands of athletes compete in a gruelling 2.3-mile swim, 112-mile bike ride, and 26.2-mile run.
Saundersfoot Harbour Carpark will be open.
The event begins at 7.25am with the swim from Tenby’s North Beach, followed by the bike and run routes through towns and villages across south Pembrokeshire.
Road closures and diversions will be in place throughout the day, affecting travel in many areas.
Full information outlining road closures and alternative routes available across the course is available at https://www.ironman.com/races/im-wales/traffic-impact to help residents plan their travel.
The A40 and A477 will remain open throughout the event to ensure east-west travel.
Emergency services will also have full access at all times.
In Saundersfoot, Frances Road and Cambrian Place will be fully closed from 10am to 7pm.
Residents and visitors are advised to plan ahead and check the full list of closures on the IRONMAN Wales website.
