2019 Triathlon Weekend Re-cap

 Saundersfoot Triathlon

The Saundersfoot Triathlon course is simply in one of the best locations in the UK. With a calm, safe and spectator friendly swim, picturesque ride and a fast and flat run. The course is a 750m sea swim, 20km bike and a 5km run. The first solo athlete to finish was Daniel Whaites, Whaites finished the course in 1:08:38.5! tickets are on sale from the Saundersfoot tri website.

IRONMAN

The ninth edition of the event was a picture-perfect day as very flat and calm conditions made for great times and close racing. Starting At 6:55AM 2278 Athletes all ran into the water of Tenby’s North beach, all athletes swam 2.4m, cycled 112m and to finish off had to run 26.2m. The first to finish was Arnaud Guilloux of France. Arnaud finished the course in a rapid 08:48:06. In 2020, Ironman Wales celebrates its 10th anniversary with a record field expected. Tickets for next years Anniversary event will be on sale as of 23^rd September 2019.

Everybody here at Saundersfoot Harbour loved the atmosphere here during the triathlon weekend. We hope to see everyone showing their support again at both events next year!
